The Sandi Group, a large Washington, DC based company, is a private international finance, investment and management company with several projects in Iraq. Sandi Group currently has hotels and resorts, commercial and residential properties in Iraq and continues to acquire more property interests. Its newest hotel, Al-Sadeer, has been refurbished and includes many modern day amenities. Sandi Group also provides transportation services for individuals, cargo, heavy machinery, equipment fuel, and other goods throughout Iraq.
Sandi Group has placed a strong emphasis on using local companies whenever possible. Iraqi nationals are performing close to 99% of the work on Sandi Group’s Iraqi projects. The Sandi Group’s multi-million dollar investments have employed over 8,000 Iraqi workers. In cooperation with its international business partners, they have introduced modern business systems and sophisticated training methods into Iraq. Sandi Group has attributed at least 12 U.S. jobs to its initiative in Iraq. Additionally, the majority of its security, water purification and medical products utilized in Iraq are of U.S. origin.
Sandi Group finds Iraq to be ripe for trade and investment.
